Luggage storage at Tokyo Station

Tokyo Station is huge, with Shinkansen, JR lines and the Marunouchi subway line. Finding a free locker big enough for a suitcase can take a while, so decide on a plan before you arrive.

Check before you go: the station's official visitor guide lists its coin lockers and baggage storage, and it has announced closures of all baggage storage and lockers for security reasons in the past. See GRANSTA "For Visitors To Tokyo Station" for the current status.

Coin lockers

There are coin lockers both inside and outside the ticket gates. If you are taking the Shinkansen, a locker inside the gates saves you leaving and re-entering. Large lockers fill up first, so arrive early or have a backup.

Staffed baggage storage

The official visitor guide lists staffed baggage storage for short-term and multi-day storage, and luggage delivery to hotels and the airport. Opening hours and what they accept are on the official page.

Leaving Tokyo by plane tonight?

If you only need your bags at the airport, sending them ahead is often easier than carrying them around the city. Ask your hotel front desk, or check the delivery service listed in the official visitor guide.
